Thermal inkjet

TIJ cartridges

Thermal inkjet is the low-maintenance end of coding: the printhead ships inside the cartridge, so every change is a new head. No make-up, no viscosity, no service kit. The only decision left is which ink chemistry the pack needs.

TIJ cartridges

Water-based cartridges are for porous surfaces — corrugated board, kraft, uncoated cartons. They are cheap to run and odour free. Solvent-based cartridges are for everything that does not absorb: film, foil, PET, coated board and metal.

We stock the common 42 ml TIJ 2.5 format that fits most of the thermal coders installed in India, along with the higher-resolution heads used for barcodes and 2D codes.

The range

  • Water-based black — 42 ml

Corrugated, kraft and uncoated cartons. Lowest cost per code.

  • Solvent black — 42 ml

Film, foil, PET, coated board, metal. Fast dry, high contrast.

  • Solvent — fast dry

For high line speeds where the pack is handled immediately after coding.

  • Coloured cartridges

Blue, red and white for colour-coded or dark-substrate marking.

  • High-resolution 600 dpi

For scannable barcodes, DataMatrix and small-point legal text.

Fits these printers

  • Domino
  • Videojet
  • Markem-Imaje
  • Linx
  • Citronix
  • Leibinger
  • Hitachi
  • KGK

Brand names identify the equipment this range is made to fit. Runicha Enterprises is an independent supplier and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an agent of those manufacturers. Tell us your model and we will confirm the exact grade.

Worth knowing
  • Cap the cartridge whenever the line stops for more than an hour. An open TIJ head dries out faster than a CIJ nozzle.
  • Water-based ink on a non-porous pack will smudge whatever the printer settings say. Check the substrate before blaming the coder.
