The people who supply the fluid also fix the machine

When a code goes soft, the cause is either the fluid, the head or the settings — and the three point at each other. One supplier who owns all three is the shortest route to a line that is running again.

What we cover

Service that starts before the breakdown

Breakdown attendance

A coder that has stopped is a line that has stopped. Tell us the fault code and what the machine was doing when it happened, and we will bring the parts most likely to fix it rather than arriving empty-handed to diagnose.

Preventive maintenance

Scheduled against the hour counter, not the calendar. Filters, seals and pump parts changed at the interval, with the reading logged so the next one is not guesswork.

Annual maintenance contracts

A fixed yearly cost covering scheduled services, agreed response times and a defined parts list. Priced against your machine count and your running hours, in writing.

Printhead refurbishment

Where a head can be brought back rather than replaced, we will say so. Where it cannot, we will say that too, instead of selling you a clean that lasts a fortnight.

Operator training

The end-of-shift routine, the daily head clean and the three settings people change when a code goes soft. An hour with the operators saves more downtime than most spare parts.

Consumable planning

We hold your grades in stock and ship against your consumption, so the standing order arrives before the store runs out rather than after.

Service coverage depends on where your plant is. Ask us before you plan around it — we would rather tell you honestly that we cannot reach you within your response window than agree to a contract we cannot keep.

Common faults

What usually turns out to be wrong

Four symptoms account for most of the calls we take. Two of them you can settle yourself in ten minutes.

The code is faint or fading

Almost always viscosity. The machine has been topping up with the wrong make-up, or the ink is past its life. Check the viscosity reading against the target band before you touch anything else.

Drops land in the wrong place

Charge electrode or deflection plates carrying dried ink. A clean with the correct wash fixes it. If it comes back within a shift, the wash grade is wrong for the ink.

The printer will not build pressure

Usually a solenoid valve or a blocked filter, occasionally the pump. If the filter is past its hour interval, start there — it is the cheap end of the list.

Prints intermittently on fast lines

Trigger, not fluid. Photocell alignment or a slipping encoder. Watch the print-ready signal against the product going past before ordering a single part.
